During this Sunday afternoon workshop you will make a beautiful lampshade for your home. I have lots of beautiful fabric but please feel free to bring your own as well and we can see if it will be suitable.

ON THE DAY

• We will look at what makes the perfect lampshade, making sure the fabric you use suits your ideas.

• Working through the steps to create a bespoke drum or cone shape lampshade using hard PVC backing.

• The lampshades will be 25cm at the base and can be made to fit a lamp or a ceiling light.

• Cutting fabric and backing to your specific needs. No pre-cut sizes here!

• All materials are included.

YOUR IDEAS

Please do discuss with me any specific ideas in advance and I can let you know if they are feasible. I am happy to advise on fabrics as well. Cotton works best but many other textiles work too but I recommend avoiding silk as it will come away from the backing over time.

CANCELLATIONS

Please give me as much warning as possible if you are unable to attend. Unfortunately I will not be able to offer a refund after two weeks before the workshop unless I can find someone else to take your place
