ON THE DAY If you have always wanted to learn how to make your own silver jewellery, this is the perfect way to get started. With jeweller Charlotte Berry, in a creative and relaxed rural setting with expert tuition you can learn the technique of wax carving using jewellers' wax to make your design . In this morning workshop you will start the process of making a beautiful ring or a pendant (approx 30 mm x 20 mm) with the opportunity to practice a variety of samples. You will learn how to create designs for carving, use a range of tools and the process of wax carving with Charlotte. She will teach you how to finish a wax design ready for casting. Your finished design will then be sent off to Hatton Garden in London to be cast in sterling silver, with a finish and polishing service. It will then be returned to you by post two weeks later. This is all included in the workshop cost. Optional extras may be purchased at the workshop : -Gold plating , Hallmarking, Engraving ,Stone setting -Additional items to cast £ 10 - £20 each and Chains from £8 TOOLS AND MATERIALS All tools and materials will be provided. MORE ABOUT YOUR TUTOR Charlotte has been teaching jewellery making for over a decade so she is the perfect tutor to get you started on your jewellery making journey. Charlotte is an award winning jeweller with over 15 years of experience hand making gold, platinum and silver jewellery in Oxfordshire. Her beautiful designs are inspired by treasures of the past and heirlooms. The designs are made using traditional techniques and the finest materials.

Cancellation Policy

We are keen to help anyone with an ailment or disability attend our creative workshops. If you have any concerns please contact us directly and we will discuss with you the appropriate actions we can take to help you. Training will be given, however participants must be aware that sharp tools may be used and you must take responsibility for your own safety. We are unable to offer refunds 28 days before the workshop starts unless another person is able to take the place. Contact us directly if you are no longer able to attend and we will endeavor to find someone else. In case of cancellation you will receive a refund or the opportunity to attend another workshop. While all measures are taken to ensure the safety of your belongings on the day, we are not liable for any loss or damage.
