Inspired by classic and historic furniture forms, and working with natural materials such as hair, jute, and cotton, her upholstery often features unexpected textile pairings that offer a fresh perspective on time-honoured styles. Her lampshades take on a sculptural quality through pleating, gathering, and the creative use of negative space, with coloured linings that transform the way light plays across fabric. With a background in textile history and experience in museum collections, as well as earlier studies in Theatre Design, Aimée brings a playful, thoughtful sensibility to every piece, balancing heritage with reinvention.
